We’re still kind of baffled about Kmart's transformation from daggy department store to undeniable homewares mecca.
But it's happened. The retailer’s new winter catalogue seems to cement this point, with an offering of seriously nice and crazy affordable pieces. We’re talking A-frame bookcases for $45, rugs for $49, QB flannelette sheets for $30, bath towels for $10 and frypans for $15.
Materials have taken a step up too, with solid pine legs appearing on chairs and tables, recycled fibre rugs and lots of cotton.
Brb, off to play interior decorator.
