The City of Melbourne and Craft Victoria are giving people a great opportunity to own a keepsake of Melbourne's heart through their new arts project.
The Love Locks lottery includes the artworks and mementos of six artists, who have incorporated the 20,000 padlocks that were removed from the Evan Walker Bridge last year due to safety concerns. Rather than throwing these padlocks away, both the City of Melbourne and Craft Victoria wanted to showcase them through unique displays of art that would represent Melbourne. Tickets for the Love Locks lottery are $10 each.
The Love Locks exhibition will be spreading the love from Monday August 8 to Saturday August 20 at Melbourne Town Hall. Tickets are available via Craft Victoria's website until Tuesday August 30.
