Melbourne creative collective ‘Ladies of Leisure’ is back with a third zine
Edition III.
The girls behind Ladies of Leisure are back for another round, announcing the launch of LOL Edition III.
A year in development, the new issue reflects the personal changes and growth of the Melbourne-based creative community since its inception in 2014.
Understandably, there’s been a fair bit. Here’s what you can expect from the new title:
- Nayuka Gorrie reflects on racism and internalised white privilege in ‘Killing My White Supremacy’ accompanied by portraits from photographer Elliott Lauren.
- Tara Kenny interviews her old school friend and artist, Montana Kitching, about a new project aimed at improving sexual education for young people.
- Emma Orlow, interviews three NYC-based creatives about personal mementos and their significance.
- Flex Mami writes on self-love and saltiness, while NYC-based photography duo, WIISSA, share a ’70s dream-girl photo essay.
The LOL crew is celebrating the launch with a party (yes) that you’re invited to (double yes).
If you can’t make it down, you can still pick up some LOL merch or Edition III here.
