A Beyoncé skyscraper is being built in Melbourne

Beyoncé’s on top of the world.

She’s not called Queen Bey for nothing.

It has just been announced that skyscraper inspired by Beyonce’s bootylicious bod will go up in Melbourne’s CBD. At 226 metres high, it will be built near Melbourne’s Southern Cross railway station on Spencer Street.

The studio behind the building, Elenberg Fraser, released a statement about the building saying, “Art and science? You betcha. For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic – we’re going to trust you’ve seen the music video for Beyoncé’s Ghost.”

The building will be named Premier Tower and offer 160 hotel rooms, 660 apartments and retail spaces. The Queen would approve.
