Sooo, what’s the deal with DJ Khaled?

The key to success.

If you’re anything like us, about a month ago you would have noticed a bunch of memes crop up that you just didn’t understand. Graphs on the increased use of the key emoji, the term ‘Bless Up’ and an unknown face that was suddenly everywhere.

Still with us? Great.

Then we found out it was all because of DJ Khaled’s Snapchat. Our reaction was kind of like this:

“Ohhhhh…

…wait, what?”

So we followed him (over at @djkhaled305). And we still kind of didn’t get it.

In a now-desperate state, we asked my 17-year-old cousin. We call her the Meme Queen. She’s totally down with internet speak and was using the term AF before anyone knew what it was. This is what she said we need to know:

• Khaled Mohamed Khaled aka DJ Khaled, is a self made American billionaire 
• He’s a DJ and you may have heard his hits ‘All I do is win’ and ‘We the best’
• He’s the king of Snapchat, creating many twenty first century memes such as “lion order,” “bless up” and “another one”
• He loves his plants
• He gives out various keys to success
• Moisturise, water, breakfast, a fresh cut and apple ciroc are all major keys (celebrate success right!!!).
• He’s low key insane and paranoid about “them” but we’re yet to find out who “they” are.

Get it? Prob not. But once you’ve followed him on Snapchat for a while, it should start making sense.
