The trailer for MTV’s new version of Laguna Beach is here

Get ready to binge.

Whether you were Team Kristin or Team LC, you can’t deny 2004 you LIVED for Laguna Beach.

Well, get ready for round two, because the MTV producers behind your fave reality show have a new hit in the works, Siesta Key.

This time, the *totally real and not at all staged* show, takes place on a coastal Florida city called Siesta Key. It follows a group of friends who have returned home after their freshman year of college.

According to the MTV description, “this new docuseries follows a group of young adults confronting issues of love, heartbreak, betrayal, class, and looming adulthood as they spend the summer together in their beautiful hometown.”

And while it’s hard to tell the exact plotline of the show, the trailer alludes to a lot of partying, boating and summer luuurrrrvvveee featuring a girl named Juliette.

As for what we can expect, cast member Pauly Apostolides told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune that they’re actually pretty lowkey:

“I hope [the audience] takes away from the show that a group of friends can come together, have some drama, but still keep it classy and not be trashy.”

“We’re not a Jersey Shore, we do have problems on the show, but for the most part we’re all really good people.”

And while I’m super excited for all the drama this show will bring, I wish the producers good luck choosing a theme song. Topping Laguna Beach’s iconic ‘Coming Clean’ by Hilary Duff will be no easy feat.

Siesta Key premieres July 31 on MTV, check out the trailer below.
