You can now buy a robotic pillow that mimics the movement of a real-life cat

The ultimate gift for lonely people.

If you’re considering getting a cat, but aren’t responsible enough to look after one, we have good news for you.

Qoobo is a robotic cushion that mimics the movement of a real-life cat. Except it’s better than a cat because it comes without scratches, kitty litter or the arrogant attitude.

The cushion is pretty much a furry pillow with a tail attached, and its movement becomes more frequent the more you pet it.

It’s the ultimate gift for lonely people or those kids who never knew the appropriate pressure to use when holding an animal.

Two lifelike colours, of ‘Husky Gray’ and ‘French Brown’, are available and the fur cover is actually removable, with the brand encouraging you to customise your own design with a provided template. But if you’re going to that much effort, perhaps it’s time you thought about buying a real pet.

The Kickstarter project has already reached its funding goal, raising well over $60,000 AUD.

Delivery is scheduled for June 2018, but in the meantime, check out the Qoobo here.
