Alanis Morissette is going to have her own advice column

Turns out eight albums and a podcast are not enough for Alanis Morissette to teach you all she’s learned.

The Guardian has just announced that the Californian singer-songwriter will be taking over ’80s teen heartthrob Molly Ringwald as their new advice columnist.

Starting on January 16, Alanis will be dishing out all the good advice that she just didn’t take. 

If Ringwald’s column is anything to go by, then we can expect the answers to conundrums of love and heartbreak us mere peasants face, and which only the elite and powerful hold the key to.

Waiting to see if someone will ask her for the definition of Irony. We can only hope.
