Ngaiire announces new album and national tour

This June.

Sydney-based singer-songwriter, Ngaiire, is set to make some serious musical waves this year.

Ngaiire’s been enjoying considerable airtime with single ‘Diggin’ and her cover of Tame Impala’s ‘The Less I Know The Better’ on Triple J’s Like A Version. The PNG-born singer is also fresh off her Groovin’ The Moo appearances and is slated to take the stage at Splendour in the Grass (and alongside Leon Davis at his sideshows this year), all while running her record label, Maximillion Brown. What a diary she must have.

Ngaiire has just announced the release of her second album, Blastoma, to be dropped on June 10. Named after the rare cancer Ngaiire suffered as a child, the album provides an insight into her hardships, resilience and how she found her strength.

A teaser track from the album, ‘I Can’t Hear God Anymore,’ is available right now. Showcasing her heavenly, soulful voice to the max, it’s a clear indication of the sweet and heart-felt sounds we can expect from Blastoma.

On the tour which kicks off this June, Ngaiire will be supported by Jack Grace and Melbourne-based producer Lanks.
