Sydney's Festival of Dangerous Ideas has both an exciting name and program. The annual festival of controversial conversations and personalities is going to be a corker in 2014, with Nadya Tolokonnikova and Masha Alekhina from Russian punk/feminist band Pussy Riot gracing the Sydney Opera House.

Guests also include acclaimed author Salman Rusdie, New Yorker television critic Emily Nussbaum and former Prime Minister, Malcom Fraser. That is a lot of ideas, you guys.

The Festival of Dangerous Ideas  is co-curated by St James Ethics Centre and will be held on August the 30th and 31st. Tickets go on sale from Monday, June 30th. For the full program, hop over to sydneyoperahouse.com
