YEVU Sydney Pop-up

November 24 – December 3.

If you’re unfamiliar with the work of YEVU, a visit to the label’s Sydney pop-up shop will be the perfect introduction.

Opening for 10 days, the pop-up will house YEVU’s summer collection, which features bright prints sourced from the markets of Ghana and Togo. Expect to find twin sets, wrap skirts, jumpsuits and wrap dresses as well as men’s shirts, shorts and bucket hats. The pop-up store will also offer sale items and archival pieces. Sitting alongside YEVU’s vibrant prints will be an indoor jungle of potted greenery, courtesy of Leaf Supply. The two brands have collaborated on a series of plant pot covers, which will be up for sale in the store.

YEVU’s designs are made out of a cooperative workshop in Ghana. Its staff are supported through fair wages (three times the current minimum wage), full-time employment, skill training and social security.

The pop-up’s launch party on November 23 will be open to the public, with live music, dancers, coconut cocktails and beers. We suggest popping down and refreshing your summer wardrobe, or stocking up on ethical Chrissie presents.

And for those who can’t make it down, YEVU’s summer collection will also be available online.
