Role Description
Our client is an Australian clothing brand. They have more than 300 stores and are growing within the online presence. You will be responsible for the footwear and accessories. You will inspire the direction of the category across the portfolio and collaboration with the design team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design to ensure that fabrics and styling details are consistent with the brands handwriting
- Following up with suppliers and strong negotiation skills
- Monitoring the production process in conjunction with the critical path
- Ensuring that all financial targets have been achieved
- Ensuring the department delivers innovation and speed to market and to take new risks with new trends
- Ensure a clear process architecture which dives sales and maximises profit for the business
- Ensure all lab/ strikes off are approved in line with the direction of the brand|
- Drive approval times and bulk fabric confirmation is followed up
- Drive commercial divisions throughout the development process of a prodigy
- Work with the design and QA teams to ensure that the best fit and is consistent.
- The ability to construct a commercially balanced range
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years experience in a junior buying or buying position
- Experience in a major clothing or footwear retailer
- Qualification in the fashion Industry
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word) and fashion-related software
- Understanding and solid interpretation of global trends
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
