Role Description
Cendré, meaning Ash in French, is a jewellery and watch brand designed for the eternal modern muse – women with refined taste, and a love for timeless, statement pieces. Founded by Australian stylist Ashleigh Kelly, Cendré fuses opulence with affordability to create fashion-forward jewellery, watches, and accessories that are both unique and accessible.
We’re currently looking for a Designer or Design Assistant who naturally aligns with the Cendré’s aesthetic. You’ll work closely alongside the Founder, Creative Coordinator, and an existing Designer to help bring our collections to life – from initial concept through to final production.
Key Responsibilities
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
- Create technical sketches, CADs, or visual representations of designs in any medium.
- Support in mood boarding, trend research, and seasonal concept ideation.
- Assist in translating creative direction into commercially viable product ranges.
- Manage the sampling process and communicate clearly with suppliers during development.
- Maintain range boards, line sheets, and all design documentation.
PRODUCTION AND QUALITY
- Review samples and assist with quality control to ensure pieces meet design standards.
- Collaborate with production and marketing teams to deliver accurate product details.
- Ensure consistent quality and brand integrity across all product categories.
STUDIO OPERATIONS
- Work collaboratively with the Founder, Creative Coordinator, and design team.
- Help prepare internal design presentations and overviews for new collections.
- Contribute to maintaining a beautiful, organised, and creatively inspiring studio space.
YOU’LL BRING
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and InDesign) or the ability to sketch or conceptualise designs in any effective way.
- A strong sense of style and a deep connection to Cendré’s brand identity.
- An eye for detail and a refined approach to design.
- High levels of organisation and time management across multiple projects.
- Confidence working both independently and within a creative team.
- Clear communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
