THE ICONIC Partnerships team is responsible for establishing and managing relationships with a variety of partners across Australia and New Zealand. The team works to understand our partners’ objectives and, in response, proactively develop and execute commercial marketing opportunities that benefit both brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for achieving Commercial Partnerships revenue targets
  • Establish and manage a network of non-endemic (external business) partners
  • Align available media solutions to the needs of our partners, building bespoke packages/solutions if required
  • Think outside-the-box to find opportunities for win-wins for both parties
  • Develop commercial opportunities that help achieve THE ICONIC Partnership team’s quarterly, half-yearly and annual revenue targets
  • Work cross-teams to ensure campaigns are executed correctly
  • Carve out and improve upon existing partnership marketing strategy
  • Map out yearly media solutions calendar to ensure media solutions are spaced out adequately throughout the year
  • Understand media solutions inside-and-out in order to sell these to partners (eg. satchel inserts, paid social, editorial content, CRM, on-site and app placements, organic social, sponsorships

  • You have a strong track record of achieving revenue targets and are proactive in building and scaling a sales pipeline that drives commercial value
  • You are commercially minded and a strong negotiator in order to creative profitable opportunities
  • You are able to prioritise the partnership opportunities with the highest commercial value and those that make sense for our business
  • You have a creative, proactive and inquisitive approach to problem solving and are always looking for fresh solutions that help your partners achieve their goals
  • You use data to influence decisions and processes that will benefit THE ICONIC and our partners
  • You think big, have a strategic mind and are able to connect the dots between multiple partnership opportunities
  • You have a bold sense of confidence and trust in yourself
  • You enjoy a fast pace, constant change and feel comfortable in a ‘test and learn’ environment
  • You are a quick learner, soaking up information from various sources and teams to ensure you understand the solutions you are selling
  • You have proven Sales or Business Development experience with a strong track record in achieving revenue targets
  • You have experience in managing a diverse set of partnerships and leading commercial negotiations and pitches
  • You are analytical and have a data-driven approach
  • You are known for your awesome relationship building skills
  • You have a strong network of contacts, and aren’t afraid to leverage these relationships for potential partnership opportunities
  • You have had some exposure to performance-based partnerships
  • You have a creative and collaborative mindset
  • You take initiative, and are independent, being able to work autonomously
