Role Description
Banded Together is a Melbourne-based ready-to-wear collection that proudly offers modern essentials in premium natural fabrics. We are searching for a multi talented person with several years experience in the industry who has a degree in fashion design and/or fashion marketing to assist our design director from our head office in Armadale. This is a multifaceted hands on role and includes both design oriented tasks and marketing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support
- Support in the build of ranges as requested and guided by the design team.
- Follow design teams methodology.
- Develop storyboards
- Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, briefing documents and technical packs for assigned product lines.
- Prepare and communicate effective handover for production and product scheduling/ordering manager.
- Ensure effective workflow by ongoing communication with suppliers, ensuring their understanding of tech packs and responding to questions and technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Coordinate all print, colour and fabric development.
- Coordinate product Critical Path deliverables
Marketing/Management Support
- Organise and monitor all stock levels and coordinate warehousing of product
- Assist in creating a commercial marketing calendar and then coordinating its implementation.
- Assist in the creation of social content for organic & paid social, eDMs and photo shoots ensuring this is inline with the brand identity and communications strategy
- Prepping stock for the store and photos hoots
- From time to time working in store to assist retail staff â this includes the ability to style and sell
- General office admin
- Performing ad-hoc tasks as requested
We are looking for a person who
- Reflects the brandâs image and values
- Maintains open, positive, honest and constructive communication and likes to work in a small hands on team
- A degree or diploma in fashion or related field with 2+ years of technical experience.
- Expertise in illustrator, photoshop, Indesign
- Expertise in garment construction and experience in overseeing the development of fabrics, colour ways, prints and trims.
- Experience in managing and adhering to design timelines and deliverables, per the critical path.
- Has high attention to detail
- Can multitask, take initiative and problem solve when needed
- Can work on Shopify
