Role Description
Working as the heart of the design team, you will support our business to deliver its primary purpose; a beautiful sample collection and imagery from which to sell. You will support the design director on creating new design work that is led by the Jac+Jack aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating storyboards to convey a mood, concept or theme.
- Trend reports for new season development.
- Sourcing under the direction of the Design Director.
- Generating ideas and designing styles under direction of the Design Director, as well as special projects and collabs.
- Creating technical sketches and specification sheets.
- Working with and being the first point of contact to all suppliers in design + development periods.
- The preparation of salesman samples as they arrive for team to review.
- Preparation of fitting samples. Organising + participating in fittings and updating tech packs with detailed fit notes.
- Creation and maintenance of the seasonal range plan and other supporting documents.
- Compile and manage design Style + Fabric Tracker.
- Monitoring design budget and spend, including the approval.
- Supporting the overall end to end function of the design team.
- Ensuring the Design Room is a beautiful and considered space.
- Maintaining a well organised filing + archive system.
- Assisting with range handovers (RH) and retail range releases (RRR).
- Assisting with the creative photoshoots.
- To bring interesting and creative ideas to the team
- To design and make beautiful clothing in line with the Jac+Jack aesthetic
- To deliver all work in line with the company’s critical path

- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction and fabric types.
- Must have experience in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator & InDesign) & Excel
