Role Description
We are seeking a Designer who shares our vision to produce garments that balance modern sophistication with timeless design; underpinned in quality, intention and a sense of ease.
Working alongside our Creative Director and Creative Design Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the team in the end-to-end function of developing collections from ideation to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trend and creative research to build storyboards, colour research and sketches.
- Design and develop seasonal collections that align with the brands identity, while offering an energetic and inspiring personal vibe.
- Manage fabric, yarn and trim sourcing for new collections.
- Create detailed technical drawings and tech packs for sampling and production.
- Attend fittings, provide technical fit reports, and adjust designs as needed.
- Stay up to date on industry movements, customer preferences and fabric innovation.
- Work closely with the Production team to ensure cohesive execution.
- Develop ideas on special projects and collaborations and effectively execute them.
- Adhere to the design critical path and ensure all target dates are met.
- Manage the design budget, keeping the Creative Director informed of the year-to-date spend each season.
KEY SKILLS
- 5+ years’ experience as a Designer in fashion.
- A degree in Fashion Design and strong Adobe Illustrator + Excel skills.
- A deep knowledge of garment construction, textiles and fit.
- A refined aesthetic with an innate sense of style that aligns with Jac + Jack.
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Organised, self-motivated, and proactive in problem solving.
- A fresh perspective and the creative energy to help shape what’s next.
- Passion for sustainable design and conscious creation.
