We are seeking a highly skilled and creatively driven Fashion Designer to join our team. This role is instrumental in ensuring peony’s brand identity is consistently and compellingly expressed across all design outputs.
Success in this position requires a refined understanding of design principles, global best practices, and emerging trends in fashion and lifestyle. The ideal candidate will bring a romantic yet modern aesthetic, a talent for storytelling through design, and a strong portfolio reflecting experience in the luxury fashion space.
With deep knowledge of garment construction, textile and print development, you will demonstrate the ability to conceptualise and deliver elevated women’s apparel collections to a premium standard.
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Fashion Designer will be responsible for the design and development of women’s swimwear, apparel, and accessories—contributing creatively and strategically to peony’s long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end design process across seasonal swimwear and resortwear collections
- Develop concept direction through mood boards, colour palettes, silhouettes, and fabric selections that align with brand positioning
- Create detailed CADs and technical drawings with precision and clarity
- Ensure all designs are aesthetically aligned with the brand and commercially viable
- Conduct seasonal research and monitor global fashion trends, colour forecasts, and consumer insights relevant to peony’s customer
- Partner with the Creative Director to evolve the brand’s visual language while preserving its identity
- Liaise with the Creative Director and Production Manager to ensure timely development of prototypes and samples
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to support campaign concept development and styling
- Attend fit sessions and provide input to maintain design integrity through to production
- Uphold peony’s sustainability commitments by integrating responsible materials and design practices
- Research and propose new fabrications, techniques, and innovations that align with our ethos of conscious creation
KEY SKILLS
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fashion design, preferably within premium or luxury womenswear
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Deep understanding of garment construction, fit, and technical packs
- Exceptional eye for colour, fabrication, silhouette, and detail
- Highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative and communicative, with a team-first mindset
- Strong knowledge of the luxury fashion landscape and premium customer expectations
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
- A genuine passion for design, sustainability, and peony’s brand philosophy
