As the eCommerce Merchandise Planning Specialist, you will be the centre of expertise for all things E-Commerce. You will be accountable for leading all aspects of our online store including onsite developments, projects and meeting the performance objectives with a focus on sales and conversion rate. You will play a critical role in optimizing stock levels, analysing sales performance, and work closely including Global HQ in Japan and with the marketing team and all other relevant teams to ensure all communication and creative aligns with the brand and is consistent with wider e-commerce and marketing initiatives.
Please note that this is parental leave cover position with a fixed-term contract for 1 year.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive customer satisfaction and expand UNIQLO’s ‘LifeWear’ concept by delivering exceptional product experiences.
- Develop and achieve performance objectives: Sales, Gross Margin % and budget
- Online Merchandising and Inventory management with site operation, inventory control, and logistics: Featured products/Ranges/Daily allocation
- Provide significant analysis to support seasonal planning decisions and directions, inventory aging, full priced and markdown selling and gross margin, transfers and sku productivity
- Responsible for driving growth and awareness for our Website (PC & Mobile); APP; Website traffic & Conversion
- Identifying opportunities for site improvements in line with industry best practice and managing development agenda with development team overseas.
- Reporting of store performance including GA4, traffic source, sales and trend data – tracking conversion rates, analytics and making improvements to the website.
- Reforecast business in-season based on current performance, present revised projections and recommendations to cross functional partners and senior leadership
- Create allocation strategies, incorporating the merchandise plan and flow strategy to meet inventory needs. Provide the allocators with the necessary guidance and direction to help them achieve their objectives
- Ensuring alignment of online activities with retail stores
- Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure all projects are launched successfully
KEY SKILLS
- 2+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandise planning and allocation, specifically in the retail or fashion sector.
- Previous experience managing and directing 3rd parties or projects to achieve business outcomes.
- Proficient in using Jira and GA4 at an expert level for comprehensive e-commerce analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to a cross-cultural environment.
- Demonstrates organizational efficiency, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
- Ability to analyse and leverage data to enhance performance across various e-commerce aspects.
- Strong attention to detail with the capability to develop processes for ongoing accuracy improvement.
- Able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic e-commerce environment.
- Customer service-oriented and solution-driven approach.
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively with a sense of urgency and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of retail industry trends In-depth knowledge of the e-commerce landscape, retail industry trends and an understanding of consumer behaviour
