Role Description
Elliatt is an exciting contemporary female fashion brand. With offices located in Melbourne and Sydney, the brand retails throughout boutiques, department stores, chain stores and online majors including Myer, Saks on Fifth, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Revolve. We participate in global fashion weeks such as New York Fashion Week and Shanghai Fashion Week. We are an established business of 13 years and we are experiencing rapid growth. We are looking for a talented, creative and instinctive Designer to join our dynamic team in our South Melbourne office.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating range plans
- Directing the sampling and fitting process
- Leading our trend research and product analysis
- Working closely with our China production team for fabric and accessories sourcing
- Managing Specification technical packs
- Designing within guidelines of price point and garment categories
- Track all samples according to critical path deadlines
- Coordinating photo shoots for each collection and assisting with lookbook creation
- Managing incoming sample shipments
- Manage and maintain all production spreadsheets
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Exceptional creative abilities. Capable of developing new and exciting product ideas quickly
- Experience in the female fashion business as a designer or production assistant looking to move into a design role
- Sound technical garment knowledge (e.g. skilled understanding of fabric qualities, pattern making, sizes and grading)
- Ability to manage workflow and work collaboratively to constantly exceed expectations and product sales
- Excellent communication and articulation skills, ability to communicate your designs and trend inspiration to key stakeholders
- Great sketching skills (hand or CAD) to communicate designs
- Excellent skills in Adobe creative suite and excel
- Ability to interpret feedback and analyse data to improve sales YOY
- A collaborative team player who can multi task and work at a fast pace
