Role Description

Reporting to the Corporate Communications General Manager, this role is to manage and drive all functions of the Fragrance and Beauty Press Office. You will lead a team to implement and deliver strategic, impactful brand actions and priorities, in conjunction with global objectives to promote the image of CHANEL, spokespeople and products, across all media and communication platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship management with all media relations, beauty editors, journalists, make-up artists, influencers
  • Drive and accelerate communication opportunities with all media
  • Negotiate and manage all qualitative PR strategies, editorial placements, and dedicated agreements
  • Collaborate with media department on paid/owned/earned strategies for priority campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Fashion Communications Manager to drive cross divisional opportunities on brand stories and concepts.
  • Event management and overseeing of all local FBP PR events and brand moments.
  • Connect and support Marketing, HR and Learning departments on cross collaborative, internal and stakeholder event actions.
  • Ownership of FBP PR Budget, planning and tracking of all promotional budget expenses. Liaising with finance on monthly basis and reporting to the GM Corporate Communications.
  • Manage and oversee the media reporting and editorial evaluations for local, regional and Paris reports as per the applicable deadlines.

 

KEY SKILLS

  • Tertiary level qualifications in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Communications, Public Relations and/or Marketing
  • Knowledge of luxury brand communications across cultures and platforms
  • Demonstrate experience in a similar communications role with a comprehensive understanding of the Australian media landscape
  • Strong media connections and industry contacts across print, digital and social media
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and budgeting skills with the ability to multitask
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Understanding of content production and editing
  • Experience in event management and production knowledge
