You will be responsible for writing the garment specifications and requirements, providing comprehensive comments on garment fittings and also providing fit comments back to our factories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate measuring of incoming garments for processing
  • Ensuring technical drawings are correct and contain all relevant information
  • Attend fittings to take accurate notes for corrections and updates
  • Inspection and quality control of production samples, shipping samples and bulk production
  • Ensure all products have relevant and necessary labelling
  • Communication of fit comments to suppliers, ensuring garments meet construction and quality standards
  • Accurately maintain fit criteria to standardise garments specification between suppliers and garment types
  • Ensure consistency of products through review of specification sheets, construction and grading
  • Assist in maintaining library of approved samples

 

KEY SKILLS

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Garment Technician in Swimwear and/or female apparel is essential
  • Working knowledge of patterns, grading and garment construction
  • Work well under pressure
  • Experience with Illustrator or drawing program
  • Able to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Able to work cohesively within a small team
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow processes
