We are on the hunt for an incredibly passionate Head of Creative and Content to lead our creative and content team and drive the artistic direction of our projects! Reporting to the Director of Brand & Content at Bondi HQ, this role will be responsible for conceptualising, developing, and executing innovative ideas across omni-channel and traditional marketing platforms – ensuring all creative remains true to the brand’s ethos, positioning and consumer base, whilst appealing to new audiences at a global level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global Bondi Sands ‘Creative Hub’ – an in house creative team of 10 including: designers, copywriters, content producers and creative planners.
  • Lead the conceptualisation and development of creative campaigns, ensuring alignment with the brand’s ethos, positioning, and consumer base, whilst appealing to new audiences at a global level.
  • Introduce new creative systems and processes, bridging the gap between copy, design and content production to enable us to scale our operations as we continue to grow globally.
  • Cultivate a strong brand voice through world-class storytelling and and creative content for multiple media channels including: Product packaging, POS, social media, print ads, digital ads, events, website content, email marketing, PR, etc.
  • Translate global brand & business objectives into clear creative strategies and innovative ideas that deliver to business KPIs and long term commercial outcomes.
  • In conjunction with the Global Brand and Marketing teams, review creative briefs and assets, providing feedback and guidance to all teams globally, ensuring global cohesion and brand compliance.
  • Proactively collaborate with regional marketing teams to ensure creative needs are planned and executed on time, to budget and meet global brand standards.
  • Evaluate existing designs, marketplace, and trends in order to proactively make recommendations for design and/or guidelines which drive brand preference, growth, and strengthen equity.
  • Provide leadership, motivation and inspiration to internal and external creative team members to ensure ongoing development of their creative talent, prioritisation of efforts and best in class executions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external creative teams to bring the brand to life across all touchpoints, whilst aligning with cross-functional global and regional marketing teams to ensure relevancy and ROI.
  • Supervise the department’s workflow, assign project workload, and monitor deadlines and budgets.
  • Identify and implement software, systems and tools to support the efficient management and production of all creative projects.
  • Recruit and resource creative agencies and freelance network to meet the evolving needs of our business, as well as negotiate contracts and ensure communication on marketing campaigns and ongoing work.
  • Proactively manage the creative budget including forecasts, invoices and artwork expenditures, agency spend, and creative production costs.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of business goals and values and work collaboratively with cross functional partners to enhance the Creative and Content team’s role, purpose and team effectiveness.

 

ABOUT YOU

You are a passionate creative and strategic leader, with over 8 years of experience in a creative concepting, copywriting, or marketing/brand role, you have a proven ability to lead and inspire large in-house creative and content teams while delivering outstanding brand assets across social, digital, POS and packaging.

Backed by tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or similar, you’re an expert in creative direction, with a strong background in copywriting and a keen eye for detail. Whether it’s presenting concepts, creating storyboards, or collaborating with design and art teams, you know how to bring ideas to life and make them resonate with the audience. You also have experience in the beauty industry or FMCG brands catering to millennial/Gen Z consumers, both online and in-store.

With your solid strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and commercial understanding, you can balance creativity with business goals to drive growth. You’ll also bring your expertise in managing workflows, meeting deadlines, and working closely with agency partners to ensure projects stay on track.
