Role Description
Exciting career opportunity for a proven eCommerce leader to join a world class team in an Iconic Australian fashion brand focused on global growth. Trade the store at Oroton.com, inform the roadmap and own and improve Customer Experience (CX) and Conversion.
In recent years Oroton has navigated a change of ownership, a reinvention of our brand and products, and a global pandemic to commence 2022 with an ambitious growth strategy under the direction of a new CEO. Our 84 year old iconic brand is growing at a rapid pace, across Australia and globally.
The purpose of this new role is to manage the strategy, operations and optimisation of the eCommerce site (Oroton.com) to meet current and future objectives for growth, user experience (UX), and profit generation in conjunction with the Chief Product Officer. The Head of eCommerce will lead a small, growing team and demonstrate effective data-led decision making that drives sales, enhances UX and achieves defined KPIs.
You will be accountable for trading the online store, the direction of content production, SEO optimisation and best practice website layout. You will foster third party relationships to help drive optimal performance online, manage the merchandising and display of products online, proactively make recommendations on new product features and functionality to improve UX and drive sales. You will be able to confidently identify emerging international and best practice trends and promotional concepts that will create a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the online sales strategy in conjunction with Marketing and Merchandising
- Support the Chief Product Officer in defining the website roadmap including website performance metrics, SEO Optimisation and UX/CX Experience Strategy in consultation with Business Partners
- Define and execute the online content strategy in conjunction with the Marketing Manager, GM Marketing and Digital and Creative Director
- Define and execute conversion optimisation strategy and website personalisation strategy
- Effectively trading the online store and managing weekly reporting on store performance
- Oversee and direct maintenance and production of website content and meet objectives for seasonal content plans
- Partner with Merchandise team to prepare for key periods, season launches, sale promotions and other related activities
- Validate and monitor site security, checkout pages, payment gateways and ensure compliance with privacy and data regulation guidelines
- Financial management of eCommerce budget/cost centre and forecasting to support Marketing and Digital Strategy and budget. Monitor expenditure. Maintain compliance. Proactively apply funds responsibly in line with strategy. Analyse results of initiatives to ascertain ROI and recommend future plans
KEY SKILLS
- Has several years of substantial experience in eCommerce. Ideally as a Head of eCommerce or in a role that allows progression into this role.
- Has demonstrable track record of devising sales-enhancing strategies that meet business objectives
- Has strong leadership skills to coach a team and support optimal performance
- Has a keen interest in evolving eCommerce technology and development and will recommend and help drive a continuous improvement approach to product enhancements.
- Has expertise and experience within Retail, Fashion, eCommerce and Luxury and has an affinity with the Oroton brand and products.
- Has strong research and problem solving skills enabling prompt and effective troubleshooting.
- Is able to oversee content creation and direct others to create content that is brand relevant and supports SEO Optimisation
