Role Description

The Marketing and PR Manager is primarily responsible for creating and overseeing innovative marketing strategies, with a heavy emphasis on brand management that will build the brand. The key function within the business is to increase brand awareness, revenue generation, relevance, and respect amongst our consumers, B2B wholesalers, the fashion community, and the internal team.

Reporting to the Directors, the Marketing & PR Manager will guide the strategy for all Creative Marketing and Communications to consistently articulate the brand, grow the business and position the brand at the forefront of the Australian Designer category. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic fashion label, and play an integral role in ensuring ongoing and future success for the brand.

The primary responsibility of Marketing & PR Manager is to build brand fame and generate revenue by increasing sales through successful and effective marketing for the entire organisation. This role must encompass best practice brand strategy, insights & research, product marketing, marketing content, and public relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overarching brand, marketing, communications strategy for AU & US markets
  • Coordination of Brand Founder in marketing activities
  • Identify brand elevation and consistency across all channels
  • Daily management of Marketing, PR, and Digital team
  • As required, plan and execute sponsorship activities for both the business and Directors
  • Oversee marketing & digital calendars and execution
  • Maintain budgets and ROI reporting
  • Brand health and management: Brand guidelines, Brand TOV and copy
  • Oversee output of marketing graphics team with Art Director
  • Monthly collection development:
- Work with Art Director and Creative Director on all collateral for B2B selling and B2C launches including content creation for layers within the season
  • Seasonal launches campaigns & brand events
  • Macro & micro influencer programs with Social Media Coordinator
  • Brand acquisition (email, follower, fans): eDM campaigns and trigger messaging, social media calendars & community management of social marketing mix: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and emerging platforms
  • Oversee large scale branding events, store openings, seasonal parties, and micro events
  • Editorial and media: B2C & B2B feature stories, product placement, celebrity & influencer seeding, digital PR, local retail marketing such as localised PR, events, in-store collateral
  • AU and USA website

 

KEY SKILLS

  • 5+ year’s experience in fashion marketing retail
  • Expertise in setting and delivering brand and marketing strategies for a multi-channel business (retail, eCommerce, wholesale) in both national and international markets (ideally U.S.)
  • A proven track record of delivering results against marketing & communication budgets
  • Exceptional internal and external senior stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in directing, managing and mentoring a small sized marketing team (4+ people)
  • Ability to implement processes and procedures
  • Aptitude for setting agency, departmental and campaign level KPIs, and analysing results against initial benchmarks
  • Capable of directing and driving agencies and external consultants
  • A creative soul and an analytical mind
  • Capability to champion and protect the brands heart
  • Commercial acumen that results in increased sales
  • An understanding of the competitor environment and new innovations and trends
  • Customer centric
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • A marketing leader with the vision to seek out new initiatives to support brand, revenue and other department objectives.
