Role Description
Our Merchandising team plays a pivotal role in curating and delivering optimal category assortments for our boutiques across Australia and New Zealand. Leveraging analytics, reporting, allocations and inventory management, we are seeking a passionate Merchandiser to join our team as an intern. This role will oversee a full category of merchandise planning assortment to maximise brand desirability, market share, profitability and retail excellence. Work alongside the Merchandise Manager, building strong relationships with APAC regional Merch teams and local cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and analyse weekly, monthly, quarterly reports, proposing action plans and strategies to maximise selling potentials
- Responsible for overseeing allocation, replenishment and merchandise control, including price changes, assortment updates and consolidation
- Optimise collection and product launch, collaborating with Retail and Marketing teams on priority, exclusivity, events and retail actions
- Review sales, sell-through and inventory across the retail network, organising strategic local stock rebalances to increase sell-through
- Work closely with the Retail team to maximise their daily sales, providing targets and product focus
- Conduct market research, staying abreast of trends, customer behaviour, competitor price studies and product offers, updating regional teams for product development
- Prepare and organise stock assortments for seasonal events to achieve sales targets
- Partner with the Regional Planning and Supply Chain teams to maintain adequate inventory levels with timely delivery
KEY SKILLS
- A university degree in Business, Merchandising or a related field
- 2+ years of retail and/or retail merchandising experience
- Proficiency in product sensibility, analytical acumen and understanding of retail KPIs
- Strong communication skills, both in written and spoken English
- Autonomy and a proactive mindset
- A can-do attitude, attention to detail and adaptability
