Role Description
We are a female-founded and lead team based in Cremorne, VIC looking for a Planning & Merchandising Assistant to join our dynamic team. Reporting into our Planning & Operations Manager, we are looking for a passionate and driven individual looking to build their career in a fast-paced environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a keen interest in fashion retail to take the next step in their career. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Planning team to optimise stock levels, manage inventory flow, and ensure that our product performance drives continued growth across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Planning team in analysing sales, stock levels, and margin performance to inform future buys and replenishment strategies.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly sales and stock reports.
- Assist in managing stock allocations across channels (retail, online, and wholesale).
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight risks or opportunities in stock flow and sell-through.
- Help maintain product and pricing accuracy within internal systems.
- Collaborate with Buying, Warehouse, and eCommerce teams to ensure smooth product launches and stock movements.
- Support seasonal planning and forecasting through data collection and analysis.
- Participate in weekly trade meetings, providing updates and insights where relevant.
KEY SKILLS
- 1–2 years’ experience in a planning, allocation, or retail operations role (fashion or retail industry preferred).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in fashion and retail analytics.
