Role Description
Post Sole Studio is a Melbourne made footwear label, we are committed to making shoes locally, and as sustainably as possible. Primarily we make to order, and offer customisations so our shoes fit perfectly. Our unique business model is constantly evolving with the world around us, but continues to stand to keep the Australian shoe industry alive.
We are looking for a highly efficient, detail-driven Assistant Shoe Maker to join our small team. This is a key role in supporting the head shoe maker, who you will be working closely alongside. Your role will involve everything it takes to prep the shoe before lasting, finishing the shoes and any other odd jobs asked of you.
Key Responsibilities
- Organising orders and making sure everything is moving on time.
- Cutting and prepping uppers to last.
- Finishing the shoes.
- General maintenance of the factory.
- Monitoring stock levels.
KEY SKILLS
- Experience in shoe making required.
- Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail.
- A confident communicator.
- Self motivated and takes initiative when working alone.
- Open minded, flexible and adaptable.
