Role Description

As our own in-house brand, our Signature Line team is growing and has brand-building ambitions that are bigger than ever!

We’re looking for a creative thought leader with strong Social Media and PR experience to join our team and take our MECCA Signature Line Communication and Social Strategies to the next level. The Signature Line Social & PR Manager plays a pivotal role in the development and growth of MECCA MAX and the wider MECCA Signature Line portfolio of brands. Ultimately this role is responsible for leading strategies that build awareness, affinity, and engagement through organic and paid social platforms, Influencer activity, traditional PR and other communications strategies across the portfolio.

Along with having extensive experience in Communications, PR and Social (5+ years), ideally across both agency and business side, you are highly commercial and creative, with excellent planning and analytical capabilities who can drive vision and strategies both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with Brand Managers to develop and execute a digitally focused strategic content plan and grow brand awareness and community engagement through compelling, engaging and innovative content in order to support key brand initiatives and drive sales growth and market share.
  • Partnering with cross-functional MECCA teams to drive the Signature Line communications agenda and strategies throughout the business.
  • Develop and annual social plan tailored to Signature Line across MECCA-owned social channels (@meccamaxima, @meccacosmetica and @lifeatmecca) to optimise engagement, sales and new customer acquisition.
  • Ensure that all PR, Influencer and Social initiatives are integrated with wider marketing strategies and campaigns where appropriate.
  • Provide weekly and monthly activity reports, performance metrics, targets and priorities on both Signature Line social network performance and MECCA-owned channels as it relates to Signature Line performance and implement learnings into future developments.
  • Execute ‘always-on’ Influencer Program for SL portfolio to generate and grow EMV (and meaningful coverage) year-round paired with strategic activity around key brand initiatives and launches.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and affiliations on an on-going basis that will drive positive brand perception, brand awareness amongst the target (and new) customer.
  • Evolving Signature Line brand social, influencer and content strategies in-line with platform and consumer trends.
  • Negotiate and drive positive commercial outcomes for Signature Line brands.

KEY SKILLS

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communication or a similar field
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing and communication strategies and campaigns in different markets
  • Experience managing multiple social channels (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram). Even better if you’ve worked with beauty, fashion, luxury or lifestyle brands in your career in social media
  • Demonstrated success producing branded content including pre and post-production responsibilities
  • Outstanding organisational and planning skills to effectively manage timelines and meet
  • The ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion for beauty and products – ongoing curiosity on new products
  • Experience in marketing multiple brands within the one portfolio
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and the paid advertising landscape
  • An affinitiy for beauty and fashion trends
  • Are proactive with a high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Are on top of the next best thing with a solid understanding of emerging and established influencers in the beauty and lifestyle spaces
  • You’re a collaborative, team player with a high degree of personal integrity.
