Scanlan Theodore is seeking Product Developer focusing on Knitwear, Crepe Knit, shirting and silk products. This position will be responsible for supporting the designs from initial concept to final product and delivery, whilst working with international manufacturers. This position will report to our Category Manager and work closely with the Director, Design Director and Production teams.
This full time position will be based at Scanlan Theodore Head Office in South Yarra, the work environment is fast paced, agile and devoted to simple, clean, modern aestheticism.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Design team to ensure their vision is executed correctly
- Create accurate tech pack based on design handover for knitwear, crepe knit and silk product
- Conduct fittings in clear and confident manner
- Ensure clear and concise fitting comments are sent to offshore suppliers on time
- Final fit sample approval and issuing graded specs
- Creating and maintaining accurate working timelines
- Accurately updating and maintaining delivery schedules and liaising with freight forwarder to ensure goods are delivered on time.
- Liaising with offshore manufacturers and suppliers regarding all stages of development and production
- Coordinating with factory regarding production timeframes and sample schedule to ensure timeline is maintained
- Raising and receiving of raw materials and garment production orders in product management software
- Preparing care labels, barcodes and trims
- Maintaining up to date information in product management software
- Co-ordinate repairs and returns
- Assess weekly sales to review success of styles, replenishment and reorders
- Problem solving issues with off shore suppliers as they arise
- Support the creative team throughout the process to ensure on time and high quality delivery of garments
KEY SKILLS
- Extensive knowledge of luxury fashion
- Experience in fully fashioned knitwear development, woven development and production
- Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position
- Solid understanding of production processes and garment construction and grading. Good understanding of pattern making desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
- A relevant tertiary education in fashion or equivalent
