Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress / Machinist / Dressmaker to join our vibrant production team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong experience working with high-end garments, particularly bridalwear. The successful candidate will contribute to the construction of gowns, skirts, and blouses, ensuring every piece meets our brand’s exceptional standards.
This is a part-time position, working 4 days per week, based in our Fitzroy atelier. Award Level: Textile, Clothing and Footwear Award – Skill Level 4–5.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct high-end bridal gowns and garments with precision and expertise
- Execute advanced cutting, sewing, and finishing techniques to a professional standard
- Work independently on assigned tasks while also collaborating effectively within a small team
- Interpret and work confidently from garment patterns and specifications
- Maintain a high level of craftsmanship with a strong focus on detail and quality
- Ensure each piece meets the studio’s standard for beauty, fit, and finish
