The Social Media Assistant role is an incredible opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about the social media industry, a relationship builder, forward thinker, detail oriented, team player and is driven to contribute to Simply Social’s reputation, growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, optimize and grow the Simply Social properties including: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Group, and Facebook Page. With a core focus on community management, content creation, content planning, app subscription and email subscription.
  • Work closely with the Founder on planning daily/weekly/monthly social content calendars across brands within the client portfolio social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn) and eDM planner.
  • Schedule and build weekly eDMs.
  • Content creation across the Simply Social client portfolio; events coverage, graphic design, web design and animation/motion.
  • Assisting with photoshoots, events and showroom management.
  • Proactively and reactively responding to customer inquiries on social platforms to ensure clients requests are received and executed upon in a timely manner and in accordance with brand guidelines.
  • Assisting with social media reporting.
  • Exercise the ability to identify key upcoming social media trends.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Part-Time Position (3 days per week to start)
  • Be available to work/travel to Fitzroy
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Excellent time management skills and written communication skills
  • Must be highly organised and detail-oriented, double-checking work
  • Should demonstrate a passion for the social media industry
  • Experience working at innovative, fast-paced startups is a plus
  • Have a proactive approach to tasks and be self-motivated
