Role Description

Team Timbuktu is a fast-growing sustainable Australian e-commerce brand, encouraging adventure outdoors through sustainably and ethically made collections. With the belief that there is no need to compromise on style or sustainability, Team Timbuktu has recycled over 100,000 plastic bottles into its fabrics and planted over 3,500 trees since launching in 2018, and has been featured in Marie Claire, Broadsheet, Elle, and The Urban List.

We’re looking for a driven and ambitious paid media specialist to join the team to contribute and help develop our marketing strategy whilst we scale, focusing on paid acquisition. As a small team, flexibility and a hands-on approach are a must, being able to balance the big picture with daily execution. This role is centered around our funnel and paid acquisition strategy, but with the breadth to later include e-commerce management, CRO, email marketing, marketplace management, re-engagement and the introduction of new channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role will involve:
  • Managing performance marketing across all digital channels
  • Funnel planning, ad creation, and optimisation
  • Being responsible for achieving CAC and ROAS targets
  • Develop and execute campaigns including but not limited to Facebook and Google advertising, email and social media
  • Drawing insights from analytics (website, socials, email, advertising) to implement changes to maximise sales, improve conversion rate, increase average order value
  • Understand and help continually improve the customer journey

 

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE

  • 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role, working with consumer products online (inhouse or agency)
  • Deep experience in Facebook ads is critical, previously managing strategy and budget whilst scaling and maintaining CAC targets (+ Google ads preferably)
  • Experience within Google Analytics and Klaviyo (or similar email marketing platform)
  • Preferably will additionally have experience within Shopify, building landing pages, re-engagement and segmentation strategies (optional)
  • You’ll be both creative and analytical, a problem solver who knows how to prioritise, pivot, and optimise. You’ll love testing (this one’s important) and make data-driven decisions. With excellent organisational and communication skills together with a strong sense of initiative and accountability, you’ll have demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment whilst achieving targets.
  • You can discuss the effects of CPC, CTR, CPA, CPM, CPLPV, ROAS, LTV, CAC and assess the effectiveness of website performance to identify trends and opportunities to maximise sales growth. You have exceptional attention to detail and love a challenge, keen to get your hands dirty working with a small, passionate team. Overall we’re looking for the right fit, and have flexibility with prior experience, as long as candidates are experienced within Facebook advertising (significantly more than basic campaign setup).
