Based out of Sydney, the Visual Merchandising Coordinator is a new role in the creative services department tasked with supporting the Retail channel directly. The Assembly Label Visual Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for overseeing visual merchandising, store creative and brand standards across all Assembly Label stores in Australia and New Zealand. This is done in partnership with the Brand Environment Manager and National Retail Manager with a key focus on maximising commercial opportunities by creating engaging customer and brand experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting all Assembly Label retail stores in the execution of VM directives by providing clear feedback and direction.
  • Responsible for creating seasonal VM guidelines and directives for all stores in collaboration with the Brand Environment Manager.
  • Accountable for the maintenance of brand guidelines and visual standards within the bricks and mortar stores to maintain a consistent brand experience which reflects the vision, mission and values of the brand.
  • Responsible for onboarding new retail team members to brand standards and VM guidelines, as well as ongoing support and training to the existing retail team.
  • Responsible for identifying knowledge and skill gaps within the team and conducting relevant training to support continued success of the retail stores.
  • Responsible for identifying localised commercial opportunities within each region and suggesting relevant brand and strategic concepts in consultation with the Brand Environment Manager and Retail Managers.
  • Responsible for coaching and delivering timely feedback to retail staff to empower them to manage their commercial opportunities through VM, option count management and brand compliance at a store level.
  • Accountable for the set-up and execution of all in store displays such as windows, installations, seasonal creatives, signage, events, activations and warehouse sales.
  • Responsible for managing store presentation option counts within standard and communicating discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsible to develop strategies to achieve and increase shopfront conversion benchmarks.
  • Responsible for supporting retail team in the execution and set-up of new store openings and refurbishments.
  • Responsible to support in the production and implementation of VM tools and collateral.
  • Responsible for the strategic placement of product to drive productivity of all fixtures and racks within the store.
  • Responsible to identify any maintenance needs and opportunities for minor or major works to improve customer and brand experience.
  • Responsible for analysing data, reporting on relevant results and executing strategies to influence a positive commercial outcome.
  • Responsible for being a brand ambassador, leading by example, performing consistently as a key member of the retail team and embodying the Vision, Mission and Values of Assembly Label at all times.

  • Experience in design software to communicate proposals and directives
  • Must have license and own car.
