Role Description
Founded 16 years ago, Camilla has grown to become one of Australia’s most successful luxury brands. With this growth, the brand has expanded to a include a diverse offering across womenswear, swim, mens, childrenswear and accessories. We are looking for a superstar designer with experience in premium Womenswear woven category to continue to take Camilla to the next level.

Key Responsibilities
- Creating new designs in line with the CAMILLA handwriting
- Continue to drive improvement and innovation through product development and design
- Collaborate with our other designers and design assistants to deliver 6 collections per year
- Manage the workload and tasks of design assistant
- Research and prepare for range presentation meetings (styles, designs, prints and trims)
- Be up to date with trends and be able to use this as inspiration
- Work in alignment with the critical path
- Collaborate with the wider team to complete tech packs in accordance to Critical path, including development of new styles, fabrications, embellishments & design direction
- Collaborate with Buying & design team to create seasonally appropriate collections in line with target margins & pricing
- Prepare and liaise with suppliers for new fabrications, trims, embellishments
- Attend Fittings for all collections and follow designs from inception through to production
KEY SKILLS
- Designer, with a minimum of 3+ years experience in a womenswear role- exposure to an international market preferable but not essential
- True creative, someone who is innovative and has a boundless imagination
- Collaborator, our collections come together as a piece of work from the whole design Tribe
- Organizer, an individual who can organise to work to strict deadlines and manage a design assistant
- Communication guru, someone who is able to liaise and work with suppliers, internal and external tribe members on a daily basis
