Visit the Australian Fashion Collection by Bendigo Art Gallery, an exhibit exploring themes of sustainability, diversity and First Nations design. See the innovative collaborations between fashion designers and visual artists as they challenge the idea of a hierarchy of materials in art and the use of textiles as a compelling medium for political and social messaging and conversations around gender and sexuality, status, power and perceptions of value. Featuring works from multidisciplinary artist Jordan Gogos and other emerging artists, this exhibit includes an array of wearable art and wall-based works tackling the fashion industry’s environmental and social responsibilities.
