Melbourne Writers Festival

Aug 07 -

Aug 16

For the writerly types.

The iconic Melbourne Writers Festival is going digital this year. Better yet, most of its events are ‘pay what you can’, meaning, for the sessions you choose to attend, you just select the ticket price that best suits your budget – from free to $50.

The festival’s first digital program runs for 10 days and features 100 guests from Australia and around the world. You can expect virtual authors’ talks and panel discussions, as well as podcasts, workshops and more.

One of this year’s highlights includes ex-prime ministers Julia Gillard and Malcolm Turnball unpacking their respective books in a political deep dive.

Tickets for sessions are $0 to $50 and workshops are $120 to $140. Bookings are a must.
