A look at Australia’s next emerging designer, Maureen Kelly-Pain
Controlled and constructed.
We’re all about up-and-coming design talent, and the newest emerging designer to reach our radar is Maureen Kelly-Pain.
Her graduate collection, Assembly Required, explores behavioural studies and conflicts. Heavily inspired by American social psychologist Stanley Milgram in the 1960s, the collection is created with a subversion of traditional menswear.
Having recently graduated the University of Technology Sydney with an Honours degree in fashion and textiles, Maureen’s grad collection features exaggerated shapes that are both controlled and carefully constructed.
We can’t wait to see what comes next.
