C/MEO Collective led us down the garden path at Sydney Fashion Week

A thoroughly feminine collection.

Frills, florals and faux fur is the best way to describe C/MEO Collective’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia runway.

The label went bright and bold, with a palette consisting primarily of mustard, pastel pink, forest green and wine.

There was a focus on flared silhouettes, with bell sleeves and A-line skirts leading the march. Cold-shoulder tops gave the collection a luxe vibe, while pleated skirts added a preppy feel.

Notably, there were striking similarities between one particular silhouette and the work of an independent Australian designer, that may have pushed the limit of the words ‘inspired by’.

Nonetheless, it was a thoroughly feminine, wearable and beautiful collection.
