Dolce & Gabbana has dropped a line of hijabs and abayas
And they are so beautiful.
In news that’s making us happy this week, Dolce & Gabbana has revealed its new line of hijabs and abayas.
Debuted exclusively on Style.com/Arabia, the range features sheer and lightweight fabrics with vibrant prints (think polka dots, lemons and daisies) and gorgeous lace trims.
It’s a great step for cultural inclusion, but it’s not the first time a high fashion brands has catered specifically to the market. As Fashionista reports, designers like Tommy Hilfiger and DKNY have launched dedicated capsule collections; Monique Lhuillier created a line of caftans exclusively for Moda Operandi; and Net-a-Porter created a shopping campaign titled “The Ramadan Edit” for the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
Images from the Abaya collection were also posted to designer Stefano Gabbana’s Instagram last night.
