We’re calling it. Erik Yvon is Melbourne’s next cult designer.
As an RMIT grad with experience working under Romance was Born and Neo Dia, Erik’s clearly got some talent.
His namesake label draws inspiration from origins in Mauritius, while also taking influences from artists and everyday surroundings.
Described as streetwear with a gender-neutral identity, it’s all about refined fabrics and bold graphics.
The SS16/17 collection was inspired by adolescent romance, a conversation of young love, boundaries and rebellion.
It takes a break from the signature bright colour palette and steps towards a grunge aesthetic in charcoal and navy hues.
