House of Holland Resort ’17

Cholombiano.

Henry Holland’s Resort woman is a rebellious street girl, inspired by the kids of Monterrey, Mexico.

These kids are obsessed with Colombian music and street culture, wear crazy hairstyles and their own graphic prints.

With reference to Amanda Watkin’s book Cholombiano, Holland has built his collection around the street subculture.

Heart-shaped patches are worked throughout the collection, alongside one-word slogans such as ‘brat’ and ‘shameless’.

Religious iconography, signature Holland pineapple prints and patchwork embellishments appear on denim, leather and floor-length skirts.

Merging femininity with rebellion, the collection reflects the defiance of the tough girl in the playground. We love it.
