Sarah & Sebastian’s new collection is a little different to what you’re used to
Decidedly playful.
A few years ago, Sarah & Sebastian caught our hearts as pioneers of the delicate jewellery movement. It was a total love affair, but far from ephemeral. Despite fashion’s inevitable reaction (oh haiii, Christie Nicolaides), the brand’s approach to fine jewellery design still remains relevant today.
With an undeniable stronghold on the market, it makes sense that the label is in a position to experiment. Such is the next step for the duo. Embracing irregular shapes, kinetic components and abstract faces, Sarah & Sebastian’s latest collection, PENDEL, is a new direction for the brand.
It sees the designers incorporate a decided playfulness into their product, interpreting the works of sculptor Alexander Calder to communicate the designers’ love of the visual arts.
As usual, pieces are handcrafted in solid gold and sterling silver, incorporating diamonds and precious stones in a broad spectrum of colours.
The new drop also brings with it the release of two limited pieces, the Pendel Neckwire and Pendel Earring. Both are crafted from 14k gold and black diamonds, providing an elevated offering from the brand.
