Stella McCartney’s first menswear collection is finally here
About time.
Stella McCartney has taken the leap into menswear, albeit a little later than we expected.
Having previewed last year at Abbey Road Studios, the collection nods to English subcultures and artistic movements. There’s clear inspiration from football fans, with a range of graphic scarves and matching jumpers emblazoned with the word ‘members’. Colourful flower motifs and psychedelic prints seem to draw on the ’60s, giving us real Sgt. Pepper vibes.
The SS17 collection also sees embroidered bombers, knit tracksuits, trenches and suiting.
“The starting point is the man that inspires the Stella woman. He has been standing alongside her all along and now is the time he has his moment,” says McCartney.
It’s all available to shop now, with prices ranging from $310 to $2,890.
