A new documentary will take viewers behind the scenes of Zara

A juicy new fashion doco is headed our way.

A juicy new fashion documentary is headed our way and it chronicles the story of Zara.

Zara: The Story of the World’s Richest Man promises to take viewers behind the scenes of the notoriously private company’s operations.

The film’s bio reads:

“Our journalists infiltrated the world of the retail store to bring you all the answers and scoops!

“The documentary includes hidden cameras, interviews with Zara insiders and unique footage of Armancio Ortega, founder and self-made man behind the empire of the greatest prêt-à-porter industry.”

It will also offer a glimpse into the life of founder, Amancio Ortega, who for a few hours in 2016, held the title of the richest man in the world.

According to Refinery29, the documentary includes information about Zara’s original business model of ripping off other brands’ designs and information about the retailer’s production. Apparently, its North African factory produces 150 pieces per hour, with workers being timed for each garment they sew.

The film’s set for release in a few months time and will only be available in German-speaking countries across Europe. We’re sure it won’t be long until someone creates a sub-titled version though.
