Attention all emerging fashion designers, DHL wants to give you $10k of opportunity

Your chance to roll like a legit international fashion brand.

Calling all emerging fashion designers. If you’ve been exporting your label for four years or less, the 2016 DHL Fashion Export Scholarship – a collaboration between DHL Express and IMG – is your opportunity of a lifetime (aka your chance to roll like a legit international fashion designer).

This year will mark the seventh annual scholarship, seeing past winners of this fashion designer’s golden ticket include By Johnny, Michael Lo Sordo, Kahlo and Bec & Bridge, just to name a few.

If the above namedropping is any indication of the required standard, the competition will be fierce. You’re going head to head with established designers and up-and-coming design talents. To make it across the finish line, you’ll be judged by an industry-leading panel of fashion and logistics experts including the IMG Director of Strategy and Brand, Emily Weight.

Claiming the winning title will mean you are the rightful recipient of a package valued at $10,000, including international freight and DHL Express mentorship. The package also includes flights to New York to attend New York Fashion Week and of course, the opportunity to show at the DHL Exported show.

To top it all off, the winner will also receive mentoring from IMG and the opportunity to meet with an international buyer to present their collection.

Senior Vice President of DHL Express Oceania, Gary Edstein, says the DHL Fashion Scholarship highlights the company’s commitment to assisting top local fashion talent to show their garments to the world.
