Big news: Ellery will no longer use fur in her designs

Following over 60,000 complaints to the label.

In a win for animal activists and lovers everywhere, designer Kym Ellery has pledged to stop using fur in her designs.

The announcement comes after a pretty heavy onslaught of criticism from animal activists and PETA, for the label’s use of fox and rabbit fur in its Pre-Fall 2016 collection.

From next year, Ellery will cease to incorporate animal furs in its design and has already withdrawn fur pieces from its e-store.

The Daily Telegraph reports activists had been so vocal about the cause, Ellery’s Facebook page was shut down after being inundated with criticism.

According to PETA, the label saw over 60,000 complaints, proving people really do have power.
