Burberry got Brooklyn Beckham to shoot its latest campaign

Teen heartthrob.

In an alliteration-lovers’ dream, Burberry Brit has nabbed Brooklyn Beckham as the photographer for its latest fragrance campaign.

Starting with an Instagram takeover of Burberry’s account by the 16-year-old himself, the live Instagram shoot was also publicised over all their platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Google+ with the hashtag #THISISBRIT.

A smart move from Burberry, tapping a teen heartthrob with almost 6 million followers to his Insta-name (forever living in the shadow of his dad’s 19 million mark, but it’ll do).

It marks a pretty quick career progression from model to photographer (Brooklyn was signed only last year to Reserved), but Burberry CEO, Christopher Bailey, has nothing but high praise. “Brooklyn has a really great eye for image and Instagram works brilliantly for him as a platform to showcase his work,” he said.

The British brand’s love for the genetically-gifted fam has held strong – you may remember younger brother Romeo’s modelling stint for Burberry back in 2013 – sticking to its ethos of being “distinctly British.”

Taking place in London, the shoot features quintessential British backgrounds of cobbled alleyways and a gritty underground skate park, and of course an abundance of polaroids.

Whether you think this is his true calling or just plain nepotism, you have to admit the shots do look pretty damn cool.
