Chanel Couture was a spring greenhouse
Chanel has been digging in your flower bed.
The inspiration for the Chanel Spring 2015 Couture runway was pretty easy to spot.
Head designer Karl Lagerfeld invited a fash-crowd (including new faces of the handbag range, Kristen Stewart and Vanessa Paradis) inside his greenhouse-inspired runway. It was here models played the multi-coloured role of spring flowers because florals? For spring?
The seventy-three piece collection began with Chanel’s signature two-piece approach and slowly morphed into a garden of flower-pot shaped beanies and dresses adorned with tulle blooms.
Cropped tops and long skirts were a defining feature of the collection, and it wouldn’t be Chanel without a classic little black/white dress thrown in.
The cherry on top was the bridal gown with tulle skirt and train, resembiling soft dandelions ready to blow away in the summer wind. Groundbreaking.
