Converse have redesigned the Chuck Taylor, and the result is pretty great

Featuring everything you loved about converse and more.

For the first time since 1917 (that is basically a century guys), everyone’s favourite sneaker the Chuck Taylor has had an upgrade.

If you are a serious fan of the classic shoe, you don’t need to stress. Aside from the obvious omission of the stripe around the sole, the overall look of the Chuck Taylor does not vary too much.

The inside of the shoe however is a whole different ball game, with Converse gathering ideas from people who have an “obsession” with the canvas shoes. New features include, but are not limited to: Nike’s Lunarlon Sockliner for cushioning and arch support, perforated micro-suede lining for extra comfort, a padded non-slip tongue (genius move), and higher quality canvas.

The Chuck Taylor All Star II will be available on July 28th at the Melbourne Central Converse store and selected Footlocker, Hype DC and Palatypus Shoes stores, with limited edition stock available for pre-sale already.
